Show Update 2021

Show Update 2021: Like many things in these strange times, the Tamborine Mountain Show was in doubt until late February. With our finances decimated by the COVID year, and stringent COVID regulations in place, we did not think we would be able to have a Show.

In the meantime, the Tamborine Mountain Rural Fire Brigade had cancelled one fund raiser at the end of last year, and was looking to try again. A meeting was held, and the result was the Tamborine Mountain Show & Rural Fire Brigade Fundraiser.

Cue our fabulous sponsors – Ellie Jean Real Estate #elliejeanrealestate who have been endlessly patient while we pull together in six weeks an event that normally takes six months.  Ellie Jean Real Estate #elliejeanrealestate are teaming up with the Gold Coast Private Hospital #goldcoastprivatehospital to bring you the fireworks on the day! This is in addition to the assistance Ellie Jean Real Estate have provided to the Rural Fire Brigade in the form of marquees, barbecues and supplies, enabling them to run a solid fund raiser.  You are all awesome! Thanks, too, to Cheapa Auto Spares #cheapaautospares for their support and sponsorship of the Car Show and Shine. There is a charge to enter your cars, but there are prizes worth several hundred dollars up for grabs.

And it would not be a Show without our fantastic regular sponsors, H2O Tank Doctor #h2otankdoctor. Your contribution is so appreciated. The contribution made by H2O Tank Doctor goes a long way to providing prize money in the Pavilion.

We have a huge number of other sponsors, too, who provide cash prizes, vouchers and prizes for all areas of the Show. Check out our Sponsors page in the Website, and when you shop, keep it local!

Stay tuned for more Show Update 2021 posts, like our Facebook Page, @TamorineMountainShow, have a look at the relevant pages on this website, under Tamborine Mountain Show 2021, and make sure you put the 17th April, 2021, into your diaries!

Oh, and entry is by Gold Coin Donation, which goes to the Rural Firies!

Tamborine Mountain Country Markets

Well, third time lucky! After a couple of false starts with storms and an unexpected COVID shut down, keep your fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed for Sunday, 14th February!

We have a COVID plan in place, and we ask that you respect social distancing. Use the hand sanitiser and make sure you check in. This all works to keep everyone safe.

The Committee is looking forward to seeing you all there on Sunday.

The Tamborine Mountain Country Markets, 13th September, 2020

Many of you have been wondering when the Tamborine Mountain Country Markets will be back, and what restrictions will be in place.

After consultations with Public Health, the office of Jon Krause, our resident microbiologist, and the totally awesome Coordinator of the Tamborine Mountain State School Markets, we now have a date and a plan.

We will be back on 13th September, with a few modifications.

We will not be accepting new Casual applications – we need to free up some space in our most crowded area, and this is the only way we can do it.

All stall holders are required to register before the Market, and return the registration form to us. This includes Casual stall holders who have already been invited to the Markets. This gives us an up to date contact list – just in case. The registration form can be found here Market Stall Application - FOOD and on our Website.

Please set your stall up in one of the suggested configurations in our COVID-19 Plan (attached below) and have a bottle of hand sanitiser on your stall.

All stall holders can enter through the front gates.

The side gates will remain closed.

There will be hand sanitising stations around the Markets.

We will have designated one way entry and exit points for our visitors.

The toilets will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

There will be extra volunteers around on the day.

We want to keep you and all our visitors safe, and by working together, we can do this. Please be patient on the day, be kind, and understand that this is a new situation for most of us, and we are all finding our way.

We acknowledge that these restrictions may have eased by September – if so, the Plan will be reissued. We also acknowledge that if there is another outbreak, and if directed by the authorities, we will cancel the Markets.

So fingers crossed, and lets make September a fantastic Market Month!

COVID-19 and the Tamborine Mountain Country Markets

In light of the current restrictions in place for public markets, the Management Committee of the Tamborine Mountain Country Markets has made the very difficult decision to remain closed for the foreseeable future. We are aware that this will not be a popular decision, however, it is a very carefully considered one, taking into account our ability to put in place and enforce the public health requirements, volunteer safety and the health and well being of our stall holders and market customers. The moment we are able to safely reopen, a post will go onto our Facebook page. Our stall holders are invited to link their business Facebook pages to the Tamborine Mountain Country Markets page, and use our page to promote your businesses.
